Vase La Rochère Glass Paste Libellules Iris Lacide Cf Gallé Daum No 59    Vase La Rochère Glass Paste Libellules Iris Lacide Cf Gallé Daum No 59

Very beautiful vase of the crystalline glass paste rock with a decoration diris and dragonflies typical art nouveau uncorted to the decision. Limited series: This vase was in the museum of the shop before the rochère. The high-quality vases were on display and some were for sale.

They required the work of glass blowers and multi-layered glass engravers that gradually disappeared. The rochère no longer produces these high-quality glass pastas for 20 years because there are no longer qualified workers for this exceptional work that is typical of the school of nancy and whose glassmakers of the rochère had inherited the know-how /. These museum pieces were all sold when the museum closed its doors and I had the chance to acquire some of them including this beautiful vase!

I recall that the rochère is the oldest French art glassworks still in operation (since 1475)! The vase: glass paste with a multi-layer decoration released with a lacide according to the half-galloned method - school of nancy-glass paste blown mouth. Signed the rock in the décor. This vase is part of a limited series: it is a unique piece: the models with decorations open to thecide were produced in small numbers and never redone -this model has been reproduced a few times-and still-none is identical. The vase measures 19cm high and 15cm in diameter at the widest, 46cm in circumference, 8cm in diameter at the foot, 6cm in diameter at the collar. Ovoid-shaped; it weighs 950 grams. The glass paste is white-blue on the bottom and the open decorations are dark purple.

The photos were taken outside for the first 10 at 2 p. (end of November); to the lumbar without any retouching. This vase is in perfect condition and is beautiful. Its shape is ideal -round; and its superb décor.
